Summer break doesn’t look quite the same from the point of view of the mom. With my son in kindergarten and my daughter in pre-school, I had half a day, every day, with no interruptions. Ahhhhh….
Now they’re home with me all day. Ahhhhh!!!!
Luckily, they’re good kids. And thanks to imposed quiet times, I’m still writing a couple of hours a day. (I’d go crazy if I didn’t.)
It is an interesting truth, however; that the less time I have to write, the more I get busy when I finally do have time. I sat down at 1:00 this afternoon, knowing I had until 2:30, and my fingers flew. I’m not saying I got as much done as I can in 3-4 hours, but progress is being made.
Goes to show, you don’t need a lot of time to write, you just need to get busy with the time you have.
