Touch of Fate

Marianne can predict the future but is powerless to alter its course.

That doesn’t keep her from wanting to try.

After a lifetime spent coming to terms with an ability that has cost her much, including her marriage, Marianne moves halfway across the country to make a fresh start and salvage her relationship with her daughter — a daughter who has inherited her terrible ability.

Once in her new home, Marianne finds herself drawn to a group of women who share her prophetic power. She even begins to feel a sense of meaning and purpose – until she finds one of them murdered.

In the wake of the murder, Marianne is once again caught up in predictions she is powerless to change. Complicating matters, she finds herself falling in love with the handsome Derek Richards, the detective assigned to the case – a man, her daughter predicts, who will become an intimate part of her future. Now she is torn between desire for Derek and obsession with keeping the predictions from ruling her life.

Meanwhile, Derek is having a hard time believing in Marianne’s strange abilities. He will do whatever it takes to help Marianne find peace, but first he has to stop a murderer from striking again.

Time is running out for Marianne. She must learn the truth – about herself, about her power, and about the murderer – before she becomes the next victim.

Because it looks like the murderer can predict the future, too.
